Rock Canyon High School's motto was my ultimate inspiration when attempting to tackle a full redesign of the school's mascot logo. Having a strong brand, especially in a school, fosters a powerful school spirit from every department. From the faculty to the parents, and of course to the school's athletics being proud to sport your High School logo does so much more than most would think.
As seniors, many of us decide to go out of our way to leave our mark on the school that shaped so many years of our lives. For me, I wanted to take this opportunity to change the visual identity for the whole school. An updated more modern look and more refined colors was just the start.

A CREST YOUR PROUD TO WEAR ON YOU CHEST
Every school needs to have a badge style logo to be used across almost any part of the student body. Whether it's on a soccer players jersey, a math teacher's polo shirt, the back of a moms car, or on the front of a notebook, having a strong and simple crest will always be a classic school logo.
NOW THAT'S A FULL LOGO
When I started this project I knew I wanted to have a version of the logo like this. Although some of the other marks might be easier to use across the full catalog of the school, there is nothing better than seeing this full logo painted on a wall just inside the front entrance or in the center of the basketball court.

THE TYPE MATTERS
There are so many opportunities for a school brand to ground themselves with strong typography across every portion of the student body. Consistency is key and I really strived to have a simple and easy to use diverse set of single color typography options for the whole school to use, and that strong RC just looks so good on the side of a football helmet.
